jus though og blogging a short shory i heard today. a real story, but it reminded me of God's love.

my lecturer is an onco trained nurse. ( someone who is trained in oncology[cancer].) there's this girl, 21yrs old, studyin in nus medical school - future doctor to be. she was diagnoised with leukaemia (blood cancer) n was in icu. she went thru bone marrow transplant, but it was not successful. she had multiple organ failure. literately, she was go going gone kind. she's only surviving on the ventilitor that breathe for her artifically. the life support machine.

her dad is a CEO of a multinational company (MNC) locally. when her dad visit her. she was on 2 support machines, having 4 infusion line connecting into her body, running at the same time, she was on full body monitoring, and life support machine. hwe whole body was swelling. she was unconscious.

her dad came in with the hosp CEO one day n looked at her daughter. the father asked my lecturer, "is she gonna make it" she answered " she's not doing well" then he told her. "turn off the ventilator".

for a father, to watch his own precious daughter gasping for air, n slowly stop breathing in front of him, is tremendous pain. no father wil ever, ever want to let his own child go. but he know, by doing that, the drugs that are used on his daughter can be used on other patient, knowing that she is in pain n most prob wil not make it. he chose to end it earlier n let other patients that have a higher chance to survive with those drugs.

God is our Father. but He is also Jesus's Father. yet for us, He watched His own Son go thru the whipping, the shame, the crixufication right before His eyes. for our sake, He allowed His Son to die for us, so that we can live. jus like the father in the story. he allowed his daughter to live him, so that the medications can be used to save other people's life.

this is how much God loves us. to bear the pain of watching His only Son die(physically) before His eyes.

i'm glad to say, camp NEOs is over! we're completed the camp and break camp around 1pm today. and, our clan, ATHENS won the overall clan champion!!!

to all of us who went,

i'm sure thru this time we've really learnt alot. u guys played alot as well. thou i didn't play with u guys, but i watched u guys played ok..i've seen u all put in all u can, striving to win the game. i'm glad that we walked in unity this camp. waiting for one another to bathe, wake each other up in the morning, laugh at each other n play around. thank you brothers for helping us out, voluntarily helped us to take milo. and of course, taking care of our 3pri 6s, making sure they're not lost, making sure they're alright, not being bullied by other people. i'm sure we all enjoyed ourselves.

most of all, we had a chance to pray together. ok. not just a chance, but for the past 3 days. we've al learnt to pray for one straight hour during the first night, to do daily devotions in the mornings, pray with each others during the sessions. that's what its all about. having fun and building our spiritual lives at the same time.

i'm really proud of all of u.

for su, you've done a great job leading us! not only u had to lead us, but u took the initiative to make friends with the other people from the zone, the other team leaders. thou u were tired, yet u had a good attitude. always patient with the little ones, making sure everyone has food, we're all well taken care of. i'm sure thru this camp you've acquire leadership skills.

for the rest of us. some of us has school today, like pj, hock, pris, n rachel. but u guys took the effort to join us for the camp. thou u know it'll be tiring but u made the sacrifice. i'm sure its really all worthwhile. my dear pri 6s, i hope u all enjoyed urselves. maybe its the first time playing late into the night, sleeping at 3am. i know u're tired, but u've never whined, never make noise but played on n stayed on with us. good job! and of course, cherlyn, you've been the one that hype up the atmosphere. ur "high-ness" really did influenced us to be more active. vina played a big big part too! thou u dun really play sports, but u willingly participated in the tallymatch with the rest of them. u were tired, but u stil made the effort to talk to the other members. n of course, bring friends!!! =)

last but not least, the 3 impt ppl in our mist that really served us n worked hard.

zuzhang, nette n raisa.

raisa was one of the game master. thank you for sacrificing ur sleep, and really putting in ur all to facilitate to the games, giving us short cuts around the school, telling us which toilet is cleaner n cheering us on during the games.

nette helped out with the committee. thank you for preparing our food, serving them plate by plate, walking round the big dark school n help the leaders, preparin the camp fire for us. even thou u were tired, busy, but whenever u can, you'll always find us, cheer them on in the games, be there physically to support them when u could have taken the time to rest.

and of course, our dearest zuzhang. thank you for encouraging us always. stiring us up to really go n be prepared for the camp. walking around the campus to ensure things are going on well, planning the campfire so we can have a good session. availing urself to be there thru-out the camp. thank you for supporting us, looking out for us, always coming over to remind us to drink more water, ask if we're ok, if we've enjoyed ourselves.

i believe we're all taken something back with us thru this camp. let's use that something, whatever it may be, be it unity, be it stronger desire for revival, stronger hunger for the Lord, desire for prayer, let's really move from here.

let camp NEOs be a point of reference for everyone of us. 5, 10yrs down the road. when we look back, we'll rmb how we spent 3days in june 2008. playing, having fun, n growing our spiritual lives at the same time. this wil be ur best example, of how christians can be fun, n holy at the same time.

alrites. i'm back to update! haha..revive this blog man..

anyway. jus wanna emphasize on what zuzhang mentioned during cg last fri. i had bible study with chengjun. he taught me the same thing too.

let's look at a story frm the bible. i went to find the NLT version.

Deu 1

verse 21 :'Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’

so it says in this verse that the children of Israel reached the promised land. Moses was encouraging them to go ahead n enter the land.

verse 26 : 'But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God and refused to go in.
verse 27 :You complained in your tents and said, ‘The Lord must hate us. That’s why he has brought us here from Egypt—to hand us over to the Amorites to be slaughtered.
verse 28 :Where can we go? Our brothers have demoralized us with their report. They tell us, “The people of the land are taller and more powerful than we are, and their towns are large, with walls rising high into the sky! We even saw giants there—the descendants of Anak!”’

so here, the children of Israel are complainin. the promised land God lead them into is not a empty place. but in that place, there are giants. they have to do something about it to get into the land and occupy the land.

verse 29 :'But I said to you, ‘Don’t be shocked or afraid of them!
verse 30 :The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt.
verse 31 : And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’
verse 32 :'But even after all he did, you refused to trust the Lord your God,
verse 33 : who goes before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day.

God is always there to bring us thru. but the children of Israel jus kept complaining n refuse to fight the battle for their land. its alrd theirs, but it required them to fight for it. with God, alrd its confirmed a victorious battle. chances of losing is zero! but they stil contemplate n feared to move out n fight in faith.

hey guys. let's have faith! let's fight out battles n enter into the promised land God has given us.

i shall do it then since i'm having holidays..

i watched this v old chinese movie last night..
thought that the story is quite interesting..
something that we all could learn somethin from..

the storyline is that these 7 kids grew up together inthis small village.
the main character was going to the urban area to study,
before they left they went tothe only church in their village,
held a stone each with their names written on it and made a wish,
they shouted out what they wanna be in the future n threw the stone into the sky,
believing that God wil catch the stone and help them.

one said " i want to be the ticket vendor at the cinema"
the other said " i want to be a bus driver",
the main character said "i wan tobe a fire fighter n save many lives".

after some time.
all of them grew up.
the main character became a electronic designer.
he played pranks on everyone around him,
steal other people's idea, proud, looking down on everyone,
when the girls enter the toilet, he'll run pass n off the light,
leaving them to scream n he'll laugh happily.
his mother would make soup n bring to office for his colleague to drink
but he would never fail but scold her n ask her to leave.

one day when he was rushin to office, he met into a car accident.
in that accident, he injured his right hand.
he needed to wear a brace to hold u his right hand.
but he had a new ability thru the accident.
he was able to read another person's mind,
feel how the person is feelin, incluiding pain,
whenever he holds the person hand.
when he told the doctor that, he was admitted into mental hospital.
but he escaped.

he went back to the village for one of his childhood friend wedding.
the girl that carry a touch for him from young encouraged him,
there must be a purpose for him to be like that,
there must be something for him to learn from thru this special ability.

when he saw the groom carrying the bride in, he though in his mind, "wa, mus so kua zhang mehx, carry in?" later at the alter, a little girl pushed in a wheel chair.
he then realised this childhood friend of his,
had a muscular disease when she was young n was unable to walk anymore.
at the wedding speech,
the groom said
"we both know how difficult our future walk is gonna be, but with each other, we will press in, we will continue n maintain our marriage, our greatest strength is our love for each other"

he had several encounters with a few people, where he helped them.
like once he took a lift.
inside was a robber trying to rob a lady.
they were fighting inside where he happened to enter.
after some struggle they all sat down where he held the robber's hand.
the robber is a bus driver who lost alot of money in gambling,
beats his wife n needed money to pay loansharks that's why he went to rob ppl.
he felt really ashame, useless.
he beats his wife, but she is always by his side,
takin up many jobs to pay off his debts.
taking care of their son
the lady that was in the lift was about to go home n commit suicide.
she was a radio celeb.
in a month, she was molested 5 times, raped 3 times,
bad things kepton happening to her..
she was about to give up alr..
but they did not share with anyone how they were feeling..
but this guy knew what they were feeling,
what they were thinkin..
n offered comfort n advice to them on time,
to save their lives..

he thought it was just pure coincidence. and didn't take it seriously.

he was losing his job in his company, losing his position as creative director..
he wanted to seek revenge.
he used this ability to find out his competitor's idea n his own company's idea
n wanted to sell to the buyer at half the project price.

he told the girl his idea, and told her "i'lll buy you anything u wan after i clinch this deal"
but she told him. "why do u have to seek revenge n have such a thinking? the most beautiful thing is purity in thought.
he didn't take to mind
he still went on to fight for the deal.

at the door of the conference room where he was gonna go in n sign the contract,
his colleague went into labour.
once she is anxious, her throat wil cramp then cannot speak..

he could have went in n sign for the money,
but there his colleague is in need.
n he was the only one that could help her.
cuz he could read her mind n speak for her..
he made a decision to help her n forsake the money..
when he saw the smooth birth of the baby,
he suddenly realised that the most imptthing in life, is love and purity.
like a new born child, pure in thought, innocent.
he knew, that was what he wanted..

he ran back to his village, wanting to find that girl
on his way back, he passed by this youth centre that was on fire.
he remembered his dream as a young boy, to be a fire fighter.
he dashed into the youth centre n save many kids out.
because of his special ability,
he was able to know what they were thinkin,
what they wanted.
after rescuing each person, he held their hands n he knew what they needed.
like, they want water, they had friends stil in which room ,which level..
he continue saving them, until every single person was saved,
including a small dog..
every life mattered to him..

thru this experience, he decided he wanted to persue after his dream,
to be a volunteer fire fighter at afganistan,
with the girl he like.

i dunno what to say,
but this story did spark up thoughts in my mind.

there live a very poor coupletheir income only allow them to have 3 meals(1 piece of wholemeal bread)
a day
they have to share the piece of bread
the husband will cut away the outer layer(skin) which is for his wife
and he will eat the rest of the bread

~time flies~

that last for 20 years
the wife had been thinking
why did i marry him when he is so selfish(giving me the skin and he ate the rest of the bread)?one day, as usual, the husband got a piece of bread
he cut off the skin and hand it over to his wife.
the wife had enough of eating the skinshe throw the unhappiness for that 20 years in that moment
guess what the husband replied

he teared and replied "but the bread's skin is my favourite"

Moral:
the husband gave his wife his favourite food
but without knowing it, the wife thought that the husband gave her the junk food
in fact, the husband is sacrificing his favourite for her wife.
Without communications, you wont be able to understand how each other feels.
dun assume things, it may not be what you think

Another point of view:
Dun think that you are always right, you might be wrong all the while.
Giving up something that you like but in fact, it gives people negative thoughts.
depends on individual perspective.

its gonna be a little tough..but i really hope u guys will read to the end of this entry
i really feel the need to re-enforce on what zuzhang had say earlier this yr, in june, i believe.

i apologist if i've failed to show an good example, of one u guys can follow..i'm not perfect, noone is..

1) core members vs younger members
this is not measured by age. definately not! its how deep u are in the Lord..how matured you are as a christian..example, if a guy is only saved when he's 27, is he more matured than another guy who was saved when he's 14 and is now a cgl at the age of 24? no! maturity is not measured in this way..u guys may wonder, then what is core members? how do u define core members? core members are people who are more committed, regularly comes for cg, svc, have bible studies, in another words, people who uphold the cg, the pillars of the cg..and everyone of you are pillars of this cg! everyone of us is important!

2) attitude
what is having good attitude? having good attitude is when u respect others..something we always learn, whether it in sch or in church..you need to first respect to be respected. correct? having a good attitude is being accountable and not jus be there to judge about others..NOONE IS QUALIFIED TO JUDGE. only God can judge..before u judge others about them having attitude problem, first look at yourself..do u have a great attitude? are you are a person of servanthood? do you respect your leader? do you genuinely love your member or is it only for show? love requires actions not just words..words alone with actions means nothing..

3) find a hurt and heal it, find a need and meet it
yes, this is the core value of the church..one that everyone of us as chc members should do..but if, you never talk about your problems. you never tell anyone then how are we suppost to help? of if you've alrd said ur problem and we give advices..but if u dowan to heed that advices or further update us so we can help in time, then what can we do? it takes 2 hands to clap isn't it?

let's forget about the core member thing..ONCE AND FOR ALL! LET'S STOP ALL THESE! we all made that prayer..let's mean what we said..we're all workin to wards having a fun, loving cg. a cell group with a strong atmosphere of love and unity..let's stop talkin about things that wil cause disunity..let's stop talking about things that wil cause unhappiness..let's stop judging about things/people and do somethin about it rather then jus lookin at it and comment/judge.

E361! we can do it! let' work towards a better cg..the ideal cg we all want in our hearts..this cg can be a better one, the best cg in az zone, in chc, IF you do ur part..let's work towards this together..everyone of us is important in this cg!

WELL. this is a cg blog but no need to always have holy posts right? haha. cause i also don't know what to blog.

i shall share with you about LIFE IN DRAMA MINISTRY.

it's so different from usher ministry can.
anyway. sandy is SO COOL LA. and jaslyn too of course.
everybody there is sooooo funny and weird haha.

so if you thought i was weird and high and whatev...
well to put it simply, at the drama orientation, everybody there...
they were waaaaaay more weird and freaky and high than me (:
i have found my place in society!!!! (no. i'm over-exaggerating lol.)

yeah. but the cool thing is that even thought we can all be like suepr siao, if we are going through rehearsals or acting, suddenly EVERYONE TURNS SERIOUS.

i think that i have a lot to learn...
God knew what He was doing when he put me here, probably it was to let me learn the correct time to play or be serious, to learn discipline and determination, to learn to mingle and be more open with others...

jus wanna share somethings..

an old lady was just diagnoised with stomach cancer
in a conversation with one of the nurses
she revealed that she was a christian
the nurse thot she was jus a luke warm christian, one who visits the church every week, that's all

one night, during the nurse's night duty
she saw the old lady readin the bible
she left the lights on for the old lady to read her bible

after 15 min, she went back to the room, wantin to of the lights for the old lady to sleep.
to her surprise, she saw the old lady praying
steppin into her room,
she heard her praying this prayer.

dear God, thank You for another day of my life.
thank You for allowing me to live another day, to see my family and feel their love.
thank Youd Jesus for loving me.
dear God, take me home when its time to.
thank You for the time You've given me in this world.
Jesus, i only have one request.
take care of my family when i'm gone.
love them like how You've loved me.
thank You Jesus for answering my prayers.Amen

the nurse walked into the room.
with tears in her eyes, the old lady said to the nurse,
i was talkin to God.

a point to ponder.
a old lady can have so much love and faith.
even in her last days,
she stil trust God,
prays daily,
read the bible every night
stil on fire for God.

hey guys..

i've been readin this book " heaven is so real!" here's somethin i wanna share from the book..hope u guys wil be blessed.

background : God has been bringin ms choo ( author) to heaven. God took her to heaven 17 times and showed her different parts of heaven.

It was so hard to look into the pit of hell, but immediately, my attention directed towards a figure who was waving to me. I heard her voice, speakin my native Korean tongue, screaming "HOT!HOT!"

i knew that voice. i immediately recognized my mother! she stretched out her hands at me, saying " so hot! so hot!" i remember so clearly her eyes and my eyes meeting, and the way her eyes begged mine to help her.

it was a mixture of fear, desperation, hurt, terror, sadness and hopelessness. then i realized that these were the very emotions that my mother would have to experience throughout eternity.

she didn't know the Lord because noone had ever preached to her. It is not knowing the Lord that leads a person into hell.

next i saw my father, step mother, and a close friend. they were all in hell! they looked the same as i had remembered them, but their faces were distorted by the agony of their punishement.

i began to weep profusely. just like a little child. so many of my loved ones and friends had made choices that had cast them into the fires of hell for all eternity.

the Lord then said

I know your parents and friends were good people in many ways, but they were not saved. That's why this is the only place for them. It is here that they will have to spend eternity. [...............] My Father loves every one of My children, but He has given them certain laws that He expects them to live by. When I saw your loved ones, I felt deeper pain than you did, but I must live by My Father's Word. Once a person goes to hell, there is no way for them to ever get out again. I want the unsaved to know this - the reality of hell is forever. I love everyone of My children, but I cannot force anyone to love Me or obey Me. If they will open their hearts to Me, then I can help them to believe in Me and love Me. I want believers everywhere to preach the gospel. This is most important to me.

i'n not puttin this to scare u guys..but this would really speak about revival..not jus for the sake of ourselves, not jus for the numbers. but when you think about the people around you, the people who you loved...its for them you preach the gospel..=)

During today's service where Pastor Ulf talked about missions, I felt God say something to me: "How can you save people if you can't love them fully and accept them the way I do?"

This brought back one of my foods for thought: If you can't accept someone that you can see and can talk to on Earth with love, how can you say you love God, whom you have not seen nor spoken to directly?

This really makes me think. I mean, everyone definitely has someone they don't particularly like. But God sacrificed his beloved son to save the world – to save EVERYONE regardless of his or her flaws and pet peeve qualities. Shouldn't we love them all like God does? when we do things for God..is it out of pure obedience? or willingness?

thot of sharing some of my thots here..this cg is my spiritual home mahx...

someting i learnt frm b.s today that reminded me of my vision n dream..

"a generous person is a person who meets the practical needs of others"

i think i shared with some of you guys...my dream is to build God a church without walls, to spread His love to the world.

one of my spiritual mentors told me this
" joyce, you need to surrender youself entirely to God..which means physically, spiritually and emotionally...your dream is to build God a church without walls..and the best tool you can have is you yourself! your testimony of how God had changed your life in ALL areas and filled your life with love and joy every single day"

buildin a church without walls does not mean that the people you come in contact to must be save..but when you are taking God's love, wisdom, hope,peace outside the 4 walls of the church...when one is able to meet the practical needs of others, the recepient's heart will automatically be opened to the gospel...

that's my dream..and God is good...time and time again he had been ensuring me, encouraging me...

one of the examples is when i was having my attachment in the ward. thou that uncle was a christian from another church for many years, but one simple action i did changed his life...

on the day of his admission he asked me to bring books for him..he wanted novals kinda books...but as i was choosing a suitable book, i felt the Holy Spirit tellin me, give him the book by pst phil..and the only book i had frm pst phil was "faith!" a book i bought yet i've never read it before...

and i jus obey and blessed him with that book...

on the day of his discharged which was abt 2 days later, he came to me and said this
" thanks for the book..thou i've only read the first 2 chapters but i'm really blessed by it..i've been a christian for many years yet i never really knew God...i never thou that i could rely on God to be my Healer and Comforter..."

wow! jus like that..one simple instruction i obey changed a person's life! thou he may not be from our church, but his life is impacted and i believe that his life will never be the same again!

there are many more events where God assured me that i was capable of building Him a church without walls..

and my first step lies in this verse...

ps 86:11

Teach me Your ways , O Lord;
i will walk in Your truth
unite my heart to fear Your name

how about you?what is your dream?what are the things you ought to start doing to draw that dream closer to you?what have God been speakin to You?

what are you waiting for? do not say "i am jus a youth" God assured us in the bible "do not despise the youth!" in fact this is the time a person is most impactful in the society...

we are the pillars of the future!let's all rise up to the next level and start living every single day of our life for God and not waste any more time!

noone update lehx..nvm..i update lorx..recently i was blessed with a new book

" happiness is....a way of mind, a way of life "

chapter 23 : happiness is learning to accept the past

there may be a question.. " i thot we mus learn to deal with our past and forget about it..pst always say forgive and forget mahx.."

but in this chapter, Dr Bernard says : "you'll never find lasting happiness unless you learn to make peace with ur past. you need to learn how to interpret your own personal history in a positive way"

what is kept in our memories are classified into two cat : victories, disappointments

victories
whenever you look back into your victories..it always bring a smile to ur face..it reminds you as an overcomer..isn't it?

for me, when i look into past victories..an example my O'level...i managed to pass with 19points when my standard is usually 27 points..and now that is what pushes me to study hard in poly..because i know i'm overcomer in my studies..

disappointments
this is one thing that zuzhang had been teachin in cg isn't it? even in church, this topic had been taught over and over again..when problems arises, wil you look into ur victories or ur disappointments first? for many of us..its disappointment...

for me, the biggest disappointment comes from my family..whenever someting happens in the family..i will automatically look into the disappointments..the hurts i've went thru..the pain they inflicted on me..trust me..when u start lookin into your disappointments again, it jus makes the wound hurt more...

when you constantly look back into your disapointments in the past, its like puttin urself into a quicksand..you'' jus sink and sink into depression..when start to realise you're sinkin into depression you'l panic..and when you do so, the faster you'll sink..right? so what's the escape??

to entrust God with ur past and move on!! this may be somethin everyone know..but by accepting what had been and trusting God with what will be is ur key to start the engine and move on with the journey!

i always think that i've dealt with my problems..with my past..when someone ask me to deal with my past, i'll jus say " i've done so already" but i realise i have not fully made peace with my past.. yes, i may have forgive the people who have hurt me, the things they've done to me. BUT i refuse to look back into the disappointments and share it with others because when i do so, there's stil an anger that will arise..peace is not reached..

don't ever think that God jus wants to share ur joy with you...that God will be irritated with all ur burdens and problems..NO! God is out heavenly Father who listens to His children, shower them with His unconditional love, comfort them with His warm arms! share with God ur problems! the disappointmet that people brought to you in the past, the death of ur little hamster, everything!

a little secret : u know..i love to watch drama series..jap larx, korean, taiwan..i jus watch..and i will cry and cry because of the sad ending...after that when i do my quiet time, i will tell God about it..tell God how sad i felt because of the show..that this person is so poor thing and all...shh...don tel anyone...
lastly, here's a verse to ponder

when trouble comes and all these awful things happen to you, in future days you will came back to God, your God, and listen obediently to what he says. i was prayin last night, cryin out to God for help, for love, for comfort, for support, for understanding, for grace, for everythin!

i'm sure many of you had been in my shoes before..maybe u're feelin like that too..right at this moment! the verse says,

Hey guys,
i know that most of the poly students are having your examinations soon, so this is a revelation to encourage you when you are discouraged and tired when you are studying. And the secondary students as well as the jc students, so hope you guys will be encouraged.

Exodus 31:3-6 (New King James Version)
3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.
6 “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you

This passage tells us that God has appointed Bezalel and Aholiab to build the tabernacle for Him. And when God appointed them, He filled them with His anointing and creativity to be able to build the tabernacle in the way God wanted them to build. They were gifted in all ways in the area of workmanship and God provided them with all the knowledge that they need to carry out the task.
This is also the same for us. How?? God has appointed us to be head and not the tail in our class, in our course and even in our school. He wants us to be able to shine for Him. And God is a good God amen! He will not just leave us by ourselves to study with our own strength and understanding. Just like the artisans, God will fill you with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in all manner of the field that you are studying. So do not worry that you cannot do well, cause God wants you to do well and He will empower you to do well. Just study hard and He will cause you to be the head and not the tail. His strength is sufficient to help you study through the long hours.

i had a fantestic bible study this week..in fact, was ytd..

the title was adversity reveals your strength

was really a good bible study! i learnt 6 main points and every point really spoke to me...

what really hit me most was this

the step up is ur valley, the flat ground is when everything is going alright...

if u've realised, the flat ground is always before the step up? and after every vertical line is a higher lever?

the flat ground is when everythin is going alright, when nothig is going wrong, everything is fine..

BUT

it should not be a time of slacking...of " zhor bo " but this is the time that you should build up ur spiritual man..this is the time to prepare fer the up coming valley..so when it comes, you're already prepared for that..you will not be at a lost, caught unaware...

the valley is ur time of trails and tribulation..its the time when everything seems to be going wrong..when u jus feel like giving up..but that is the time when God is actually bringin you to the next level..when you are able to walk out of that valley victoriously, you're being brought up to the next level as well! =) (finally!)

many times i will fell that my life is filled with valleys..i would question myself, why is it me? why does it seems that i have much more valleys than others..

but i realised this

the people who survived thru the valleys are people who are prepared for it..people who doesn't give up and constantly lean upon God strength, learn to let go and let God

the people who doesn't survive thru the valleys are people who slack durin the period when there are no valleys..who takes things into their hands, stubborn and refuses to let God take over their situations...

my dear friends...

don lose ur focus..constantly keep ur eyes upon the cross..press on! don give up! let go and let God take over ur situations..trust in Him that he will lead you thru this valley and you shall walk out of the valley victoriously, becoming a stronger spiritual man!

Hi guys,
How was last cg meeting for you guys? For me, it was great. Happened that earlier that wk, God actually reminded me of Ps 23 when i was praying. Just so happened that during the cg meeting it was also from Ps 23. Is it pure coincidence or God planned.. i dunno.. But i all i know was that it was that chapter that helped me go through last wk. It was one of the most stretching wk for me, there is so much things that i need to do, especially for my project work and for my econs presentation. I was super super stressed and super super tired, had been sleeping around 3 every morning. Supposed to consolidate surveys for my project work and to come out with a report, and my group mate was supposed to help but ended up i had to do everything on my own. At that time i did not know what to do and how to do. And just happened that last wk, i also had more things to help out in usher. Oh man, i nearly died of stressed.

The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;

When i begin to pray, God never fails to pour out His presence and in His presence, He told me that " I am here, I am.." this really encourages me to continue doing what i was doing. Truly He was with me, not only that, i felt a lot more comforted in His presence. What struck me also was that during cg meeting, Pastor said that we all had come so far don't give up, for me, i have been in church for about 3 years, but during these 3 years it seems like there are so many things that happened that it seems much more eventful than the days that i was in the world. So many valleys and mountains, but God's goodness and mercy was and is always there. Thank God, i managed to finish my report. And yesterday had to finish my slides for presentation for today, that i did not have time to study for my econs test today, but God was good. Everyone in my class had to do it except for my parter for my econs presentation and i, that we are able to bring home and do. Indeed God can turn the situation around, like it say "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies", even in the midst of stressful times, in the valley, we can still be happy and celebrating.

Even if you are going through difficult times, you still can rejoice and be happy, for He will always be there for you, holding on to your right hand and leading you on.

exams are round the corner and i've jus taken up a new role in cctm..its nt easy to adapt to the heavy workload out of a sudden..at one point of time i really felt like giving up..jus don care about anythin...

" look at how far you've come? the valley you've gone thru that brought you to this level! "

i'm sure at least once in ur lives that u felt like giving up..but like what pst said.."look at how far you've come" the difficulity that you went thru..all the PO, the persecution..isn't it 'not worth it' to give up at this point? after all the sacrifices you've made?

the tough times never last long..press on and you'll pass thru it!don't let the devil distract you!our walk with God is like a winding path..and while we're walkin on that path, there are sure to be 'beautiful sceneries' that will distract you away..you've gotta stand strong and not be distracted..focus on God..yes, you may fall..but be quick to pick urself up!

i like this verse..everythme i feel like giving up, this is the verse that will encourage me..hope it encourages you too..=)

Yes i can just see the Holy Spirit touching all of you to handle the area of disappointment. How to be a better person inspite of all that you have gone through. I believe that God is moving in our lives to change our heart and mind in these areas in order for us to move up to the next level. So don't resist it, its going to be awesome!

Sometime ago, I realised that our cg has a high number of people that come from homes that are broken or have families that are in a lot a difficulties. Well i felt that the Lord really wanted all of you to feel that there is a place that He can bring you to feel the love of a family and of the perfect love of a Father.=> that is in the House of God and in this Cg.

In the past, the thing that really was a desire in my heart is to be a Man that God wants me to be and also a good father that He wants me to be. The kind of loving Father that God is to me, i want to be able to be that in my life and family. Maybe you all never experienced how it is to be like to have a good father and a role model in life. I really feel that i would be one to you all. After learning so much and telling God that when i was growing up. I really believe that God wants me to be able to demonstate that to you all in this CG. Well, at least i try my best to. To be like God the father that is loving, encouraging, a role model, strong, rebukes, and carry the love of God.

I think that you all don't know this. ha
but I pray that i'm not only a leader but also a someone that can be like a "father" that will help you just like God the Father does. And allow you to experience what it is like to experience the love of a good godly father :)

I don't know if I should say cause after all this is not my blog. But I want to let you guys know how I feel. First and fore most, I think many of you guys know what has happened or happening to me. Though I come to check on this blog everyday but I still feel the same although some of the entries impacted me. Never the less I'm still trying to adapt to my new life and hopefully i'll get better soon! i was sharing this with my c.c frens..and one of the comman response was " i knew this verse but i didn't know it was meant in this way...it actualy applies to our everyday lives! "

Hi E361!!

Wow, service was fantastic this weekend. I can't imagine another word that would be more accrurate than this.

I believe that over the times in His presence, every single one of us has God speaking to us about the wonderful things that we will achieve in the future. Some of you all will become cgls(yeah!!), missionaries, people of great infuence. I know that without a doubt that it is possible for us to achieve our greatest destiny.

But there will be times that our faith is tested and our lives are put to the test. It is not that God forsakes us but rather it is to shape and mould us to be of a greater capacity to serve Him. Don't choose a lower destiny because it gets tough, keep on pressing on, it will come to pass.( tough times don't last, tough men do)

Don't lose heart! it is really for our good that we go through the fire, cos we are going to be purer and hold a greater glory after that.

I just want to encourage all of you to keep pressing on to achieve what God has called you to. It is not going to be easy, but nothing in God is easy. Rather at the end of the day, it is appropriate to say that going through all that is WORTH IT!! Because there will be many many many people that will be influenced and encouraged by the very fact that you made it!!

My God is a big God, He lives in you, and He's going to let you achieve BIG. He trust you enough to give you such a big vision because he knows YOU CAN DO IT. If he knew you would fail, he wouldn't even show you in the first place... :)

So dearly loved members! Hold Jesus close. He's going help us make it!

I'm SOOOOOO PROUD of you guys!! we Hit a huge attandance of 30ppl for svc! Pst Aries is also very very proud of us!! I think i have the BEST CG in the world!( but of course i'm biased) You guys are changing people's lives! keep it up. We've more to achieve!FANTASTIC!!!

this is a simple verse yet with much meanin..all of us know that Jesus died for us and redeem our sins and at the same time, in Jesus's name, we have the same authority over the devil..(sorry mr s.a.tan)

how many of us are able to hold our heads high, knowing that our sins are forgiven and that God has cleanse us?

how many of us are able overcome the fear that 'i'm not good enough for God to use me, because my friends/members are much more outstanding'?

this really applies straight into our lives.. many times, we are aware that we are saved, washed clean from our sins, that we have the same authority as Christ Jesus our Lord. but how often are we able to stand out from the crowd, take the step of faith in doing thing that seems impossible to you?

dear members, let us not be affected by what others says about us. have faith in God and in yourself! with God all things are possible!

don stumble and start confessing that you can't do this, can't do that, its impossible because of what the pple around you say! the last verse says, let noone despise you! we are children of God! Hi guys :). This blog is simply awesome! The design is great..

And most of all this blog is indeed a great channel to bring us closer as one body of Christ. let not this blogging be just a one time passion but let it always be a place of sharing of our spritiual walk with God. You may never know what revelation or sharing you write in this blog can do to the life of someone out there. :)

Just wanna add on to what wee chong has shared about not forgetting the Lord. In good times, we must remember to give Him praise. coz if not, slowly our heart will become proud and we will forget Him. We might say that it is our power and the strength of our hands that produce the wealth for us. So observe this area of your life. Let us be found faithful as God is faithful! :).. And when bad times are near, remember always that the love and grace of God is abundant for us. Think of the bad times as a time to exercise your faith so as to see the glory of God manifested in your life. At the end of it, you will have a great story to tell the world about how Great our God is! :)

So in order that we do not forget the Lord, our prayer life is very important. Those who have not been praying, start today! When God is the central of our life, the dream of being the world shaker,like pastor Kong, and a history maker, like Jesus, are definitely possible! And for those who has been praying, let's increase the time. As the length of our holiness increases, so does the power of God in our life. E361 will be a cg where the members are not only passionate about Christ, but also are of POWER to do the miraculous for the Kingdom of God! :)

There was once i was looking up the sky, staring at the stars, thinking "the light from the stars takes million of years to travel to earth, can u imagine the size of the galaxy?"

..and most amazing is that God is even bigger than the galaxy, yet He never leaves us alonem we may seem so small in the view of the world, but we are never small in His eyes. He has been so faithful to us even though we have sinned against Him. For many of us, when we face troubles, we run to God, but when time is good, we "forget" to seek Him, to be honest, sometimes i am like that too. Nevertheless, He never forsakes us, when we seek Him, He never fails to appear. We always ask God to give us this give us that, have we ever ask God what He want us to give?

What i want to share with you guys is that, we need to place our lives on the altar for God and no matter what happens, whether good or bad, we must never forget about God, for He will guide us. God loves everyone of us even though we ain't perfect. I really hope every single one of us can draw closer to God and let Him dwells in us...always...

jus came back from b.s..really a good...had some questions resolved..*finally!*its jus amazing how the H.S sets ur mind free jus like tt..was sitting at the playground thinkin abt the whole b.s fer abt an hour? yeah..most of the sisters are from SAC, and majority jus the full 10 yrs of catholic teachin..[i'm sure u guys remember the cat class and the creme classes]

the biggest difference is proberly that the catholics believes in praying to saints. seeking them for help and definately intersessions..

but fer us, there is only one true God up there! our Abba Father! -Amen?-

the v fact that the saints only starts appearin after Jesus died on the cross for us. before Jesus laid down his life, everyone who died went to 'sheol' but after that, its either u go up to heaven or taken down by 'death' into hell..

[john 8:15 "most assuredly I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he shall nv see death ]

if that's the case, everyone in heaven are saints! and not only the 'chosen ones'

that cleared one big doubt in my mind....i always wonder how do pple qualify to become a saint..how is the classification like..does it mean that i come from a broken background i cannot be a saint?

NO!

now that it shown that all who are righteous will asccend into heaven, and all in heaven are saints, it means that anyone, everyone, who are saved can and will be a saint!

[1 jn 3:2 " Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is " ]

Pastor Aries just went to taiwan today, and he'll be away for 3 weeks!!

so please pray for Pastor ya. Its going to be a very big event in taiwan.

This friday's CG will be at Shen's place ( yeah! aircon!!) and auntie will be providing refreshments for us every week! So blessed.... so guys you all know what to do when you see her ya, and of course uncle too.

yes cg this week will be evaluated too, bro wen kai will be coming down. Lets really show him that E361 is an anointed cg and full of the LIFE of God ya. Make our CG a blessing to the people that come!

its been a great few weeks i feel. Emerge, good cg meetings, and the chalet!! Didn't know that you all can be so crazy one. Laugh also can laugh gor half an hour nonstop!! can play and play and play game of life!!

But its just God moving us to come closer together! don'e you feel that the fellowhip has gone up to another level!! I'm so happy for that!! ha

I think the chalet is been a life changing thing for some brothers too ya. " i'll come back a man " somebody actually said. haha. I believe it is so now. Many changes, but changes are good. God has set a strong foundation, we can start building high and glorious for GOD!!

Well, the satay was actually already cooked and it tasted gooood~. Hee, the rice peanuts thingy was gooood~. Everything was goooood~. XD I heard from the peeps who stayed over the previous night ~~tis sad I didn't stay over. STOOOPID HW~~ that they got knocked upon for 'noise pollution'. XD Someone elaborate more? XDness. Shucks. The chalet air-con VERY POWER.

-punches air- YESSS.. I finally know what the 'HA!' thing is. So lame but very cute. XDDD ^_____^ Yay. We have two new friends! I hope they come back next week! Siying and Zhihui! YES! THEY PLAY PARAPARA & GUITAR-FREAKS! YESSS! And I got to play Parapara yesterday. -HAPPY- XD

YEAH! Thank you Leyon's and Zion's and Shenevie's parents for everything! FUNN... ^___^! -bows in thanks- XDDD I left my umbrella at the chalet. It's with Linette now. XD

-sigh- Today was goodx. We had dinner at the airport after service and Siying and Zhihui went along. They're so nice... ^___^ ~~and they play parapara~~ HEE! Okay. I think I've blahhed enough. well..i'm the first sister to blog.. HA!lol...everyone knows the 'ha' meanin..well..hmm...

yeah..jus came back frm chalet...(leyon n zieon's b'day bash) shall update some stuff..

nothin much happened on the first day..maybe cause i slept early..lol..but think e other pple will have alot to say...esp PJ n olivia..opps..hehe..

woke up super tired on the second day to go fer 'superman returns' haha..wierd name..lol..we were like all sleepin in the train! lol...both the trip to jurong and the way back..haha..guess everyone was tired..*as expected*

was lookin forward for e bbq...FOOD! but it rained...-what a timing-..everything was like..the fire was almost ready for cooking..than it began to shower...being the 'stubborn joyce' obviously i was reluctant to jus let the rain put out the fire.. 'sasa came with b.c.j's umbrella and sheltered the fire..than nette came with another umbrella..alice was the funniest...took the plastic table cloth to shelter..LOL! we were like singin in the rain..
